The Checkmate model rocket has streamer recovery for the rocket and tumble recovery for the booster. This kit includes the reusable parts for launch, including a nose cone, a body tube, a recovery streamer, and design components. This model-rocket-building kit can inspire a solo STEM enthusiast or provide a demonstration for a group of rocketeers. It offers hands-on experience in engineering and aerospace, making it perfect for hobbyists, schools, clubs, and more. To build and launch this rocket, you will need scissors, a pencil, a ruler, fine sandpaper, carpenter’s glue, plastic cement, a hobby knife, masking tape, clear coat, primer (white), paint (black, blue and yellow), clear coat (optional), an Estes Porta-Pad II Launch Pad, an Electron Beam Launch Controller, compatible Estes model rocket engines, Starters, Recovery Wadding, and 4 AA batteries (sold separately). Always follow the NAR (National Association of Rocketry) model-rocket safety code during operation.
