The difference maker in BHA’s sand paper discs is the addition of gold stearate. This compound, made of gold and stearic acid, forms a thin film on the surface of the sandpaper which lubricates the abrasive disc. Benefits of this aluminum oxide and gold stearate lubrication combo: -Resists clogging and gumming up due to grain adhesion -Longer lasting and less need to change discs often -Get smoother, more even finishes with a consistent scratch pattern -Easier sanding experience with less sanding dust flying around -Resists excessive heat buildup The aluminum oxide (A/O) grains make these sanding discs ideal for sanding ideal for sanding both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, softwoods and hardwoods, plastics, fiberglass, and drywall. AO is an economically priced abrasive product known for it’s long life and quick cutting edges and points. This abrasive grain with gold stearate lubrication has a wide range of applications from sanding cars to remove rust or old paint, to removing varnish and prepping furniture for painting. The strong hook and loop backing ensures that the discs stay in place, while being super easy to install and remove from your power drill, air grinder, or die grinder. Rather than use paper backing, these high-quality sanding pads feature an upgraded durable C-weight backing that is tear-resistant so you don’t have to worry about them ripping apart while sanding or grinding any surface. The BHA 2” Gold Hook & Loop Discs are sold in 50 packs available in 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 150, 180, 220, 320, 400, 600 grits.
