- The game is a very strategic and powerful cat version of Russian roulette. Players draw cards until someone draws an exploding kitten card: then that someone explodes, is eliminated, he is out of the game. Unless the player has a defuser card in his hand that can defuse the Exploding Kitten card as laser pointers, belly scrapers or catnip sandwiches would. All remaining cards in the deck are used to move, dampen or avoid exploding kitten cards.
