- Your Family's Memories Are Fading - The Memory Vault Box Stops That. The MemoryVault Box is built to rescue decades of family memories before the color disappears for good. Load a 35mm slide or a strip of film, press one button, and it captures a digital image you can check on the built-in 2.4-inch screen. There is no second device and no format juggling, because as a slide & negative scanner it handles color and black-and-white film from the same machine, so the whole shoebox gets digitized in one sitting. You do not need a computer or any software. This 35mm film scanner works entirely on its own: preview each frame on the LCD, then save it straight to an SD card (included) as a standard JPEG. That independence is the point, making it a film to digital converter simple enough for a parent or grandparent to use without a headache. Old film often looks too dark or yellowed to bother with. Built-in auto color correction and backlight compensation bring faded frames back to life, so you can convert negatives to digital photos and convert slides to digital files that actually look worth keeping, and digitize slides from the 1970s and 80s you had written off. In the box the MemoryVault Box scanner, negative film holder, positive slide holder, USB cable, AV cable, SD card, cleaning brush, and user manual is included.
