- The Celestron LCD Digital Microscope II is a powerful, full-featured biological microscope designed for classrooms, labs, and hobbyists. The microscope includes a 5MP digital camera sensor that captures sharp still images and 30 fps video. Capture and save your observations directly to the included SD card or connect the microscope to a monitor using the TV output for large-scale viewing. Image resolution up to 1920 x 1080 pixels ensures excellent clarity, even on bigger screens. The rotating objective turret features 4x, 10x, and 40x lenses. When combined with the 10x digital eyepiece, this delivers 40x, 100x, and 400x optical magnification. The LCD screen features an additional 4x digital zoom, allowing the microscope to reach a total magnification of up to 1600x. This makes the LCD Digital Microscope II ideal for examining slides containing cells, tissue, protozoa, and more. The fully adjustable mechanical stage allows precise slide positioning, while coarse and fine focus knobs ensure crisp imaging. Just below the stage, there is a built-in 6-position filter wheel below the stage includes color and aperture filters to enhance contrast and control lighting for clearer specimen viewing. Dual adjustable LED illuminators—one above and one below the mechanical stage—provide bright, even lighting for both opaque and translucent specimens. Power the microscope using the included international AC adapter or go cordless with 4 AA batteries (not included), offering flexibility for use indoors or in the field. The microscope comes with 5 prepared slides, a dust cover, and a rugged canvas carrying case—everything you need to start exploring the microscopic world.
